Family (Sunflowers)

Sometimes a painting gets named before paint ever hits canvas and that was the case with this piece. When I was going through my reference photos and came across this cluster of sunflowers in different stages of life, some just flourishing and some that have weathered some storms. They stand strong together, lending each other support as the season moves on, just like a Family.
